Biography
Joshua joined the university in August 2021 and currently holds the posts as a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Deputy Head of Practice Education (Allied Health Professions). Joshua has experience in course leadership within physiotherapy education and maintains clinical duties through work in the academy at Manchester United Football Club and at Sports Physio UK. Joshua is currently working towards a PhD, with research interests surrounding physical activity interventions and wellbeing within young people.
Joshua completed his BSc (hons) Physiotherapy degree through King's College London (KCL) in 2014, before later attaining an MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine at the University of Leeds. Joshua is also a current holder of the FA's Level 5 'Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football' (ATMMiF) Qualification.
Joshua's previous clinical experience includes work in leads roles within professional football academies and first teams, with former clubs including: Crystal Palace, Leyton Orient and Bury FC. Joshua also has additional experience working within a specialist scoliosis private clinic and the NHS.
