Research Expertise and Interests

Kasim's expertise lies within the wider field of Public International Law.  Having been appointed as a UN Expert in International Human Rights Law, training and mentoring judges, prosecutors and law enforcement in the Middle East, Asia and North Africa Regions, his interests include the application of Human Rights to developing countires.  Furthermore, his research currently centres on taking postcolonial approaches to East-West relations and to Governance in particular where he is currently writing a monograph on Good Governance in International Law, with special reference to Islamic States.
