Lihua joined university of Huddersfield as a senior lecturer in Nursing in 2018.

Prior to the current post, Lihua worked for University of Manchester (2012-2018) and Peking University (2010-2012) after she got her PhD in Nursing Studies from King’s College London in 1999. Her research interests lie primarily in the field of managing long term conditions (including multiple morbidities) where she also has got clinical experiences in both UK (St Mary hospital, Imperial healthcare trust 2004-2010) and China (Dalian railway hospital, 1999-2003). Her other research interests include healthcare service delivery, patient experiences, as well as healthcare workforce management.
