Biography

Loren Birkett is a Lecturer in Marketing and Course Leader for Undergraduate Marketing Courses. Loren teaches various modules at Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels, notably Principles of Marketing, Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing.

Prior to working in academia, Loren held marketing roles in public and private sector including a tech start up, local authority, combined authority and construction.

Loren is a Chartered Marketer, Girls in Marketing member and a professional member of the Data & Marketing Associaton (DMA). Loren holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCert HE), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Loren is currently completing a PhD in AI generated social media influencers at Leeds Beckett University.

Lorens research interests include Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Influencer Marketing and Small Business Marketing.
