Dr Mathew A. Blears is Acting Head of Department for Nursing at the University of Huddersfield. His research interests focus on healthcare organisational behaviour, workforce development, and student success in nursing education. His doctoral research examined the relationships between NHS organisational behaviour, inpatient satisfaction, and mortality using triangulated meta-analytic methods. Current scholarly activity centres on quantitative and systems-based approaches to student retention, workforce planning, and educational quality improvement, with an emphasis on data-informed decision-making in healthcare education.
