Matthew's research and teaching focus on strategy and entrepreneurship. Matthew has a background in consulting, investment banking and technology venturing. His recent research examines 'deep structure': an effort to find long term invariants explaining the performance outcomes of individuals, groups, organizations or entire societies. To this end, Matthew has developed new models of networked collective intelligence. Matthew holds a PhD in strategy and network science from Warwick University. He has worked at many universities, including Warwick and Tec de Monterrey in Mexico.
