Biography

Matt is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Human and Health Sciences where he has worked since 2008. After qualifying in 2000 from Huddersfield, he gained extensive clinical experience in the NHS working within the sub-specialisms of acute diabetic foot, MSK and Podiatric Surgery. Matt is a Clinical Academic and has developed his clinical expertise alongside his academic role; he has a strong belief in integrating current clinical practice into teaching and research.

In January 2016 Matt was awarded Fellowship of the College of Podiatric Surgery, he now practices as a Podiatric Surgeon at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust for 2 days per week and holds a Specialist Registrar post.  Matt is the lead on all surgical modules at MSc level as well as delivering undergraduate clinical teaching and student placement organisation.
