Miriam joined the University September 2021 and is a Part Time Lecturer In Primary and Early Years Education. Miriam have worked within the early years sector for over 30 years and has experience of working both in the private, voluntary and independent sector and in Primary Education. Teaching children aged from birth to seven in range of private day nurseries, preschool settings, reception, and year 1 classes, Miriam has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the early years.
Miriam started her further education study in 2010, completing an early years foundation degree, then going on to complete a BA top up and the Early Years Teacher Status in 2013. Following that, Miriam worked as an Early Years Lead in a primary school and continued her studies by completing a Masters in Education.
During her time in both preschools and primary school, Miriam has acted as a mentor, supporting students on the EYTS course and other Early Years degrees
