Dr. Mohamed Kentour is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Huddersfield, UK, within its Department of Computer Science. He earned his Ph.D. in 2025 from the University of Huddersfield, where his doctoral research specifically focused on deep neural networks and structural mapping, a contribution formally recognized with his degree. His academic background also includes an M.Sc. in Computing, obtained in 2020 from the University of Huddersfield, and an M.Sc. in Software Development and Information Processing, awarded in 2018 by the University of M'Hamed Bougara of Boumerdes, Algeria.
His primary research interests encompass Deep Learning, with a particular emphasis on fostering neural network transparency and developing controllable AI systems. Mohamed Kentour's work further extends to the application of graph theory and reasoning within artificial intelligence, and he maintains a keen interest in low-level virtual programming and logic, delving into the foundational computational aspects that underpin AI systems.
Academically, Mohamed Kentour has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to higher education pedagogy and leadership. At the University of Huddersfield's Department of Computer Science, he has been instrumental in both delivering and co-leading a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. Complementing his teaching responsibilities, he has also supervised numerous final year projects for students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, providing guidance through their culminating academic endeavors. His combined expertise in neural networks and structural mapping, derived from his doctoral work, alongside his broader research pursuits, firmly establishes him as a valuable contributor to the academic and research community.
