Biography

Dr Moheeb Abualqumboz was appointed a Lecturer of Project Management, for the Department of Logistics, Operations, Hospitality and Marketing, at the University of Huddersfield in 2015.

Obtaining a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Near East University (Cyprus), Moheeb went on to undertake an MSc in Construction Project Management at the Islamic University of Gaza (Palestine). He received his PhD in Project Management from the University of Manchester and went to become the Director of the Project Management Department at the Islamic University of Gaza (2008-10).

 

As a Teaching Graduate Assistant of Postgraduate Project Management, Moheeb taught subjects including Managing Humanitarian Aid Projects, and People and Organisations, at the University of Manchester (2012-14). His several years as a Project Manager and Consultant, for multi-million construction and education projects, ground his teaching in experience.

Moheeb later taught Project Management, Global Supply Chain and Strategy subjects for Undergraduates and Postgraduates at Leeds Business School. He presently reviews for the British Academy of Management, and the European Group for Organisational Management.

 

Awarded ‘Best Student’ in Palestinian Territories (1993), and a Golden Robes Nominee for Motivator of the Year at Leeds Beckett University (2015), Moheeb has substantial accolades from throughout his career.

Moheeb secured funding of USD 250,000 from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in 2009, through Palestine’s Welfare Association, for the Mobaderoon Project which incubates entrepreneurship. Alongside being the recipient of two research grants, from the Arab British Chamber of Commerce Foundation (2010/12), and two research bursaries, from Arab Student Aid International (2011/12), Moheeb has served as an external examiner for MBA students at Leeds Business School (2012).
