  • 1997- 2010 Podiatrist developing to Diabetes Lead Podiatisst Derbyshire Community NHS. Key roles, responsibilites and achievements - clinical care for patients presenting with podiatric pathologies, with a particular focus upon those with long term conditions, altered lower limb biomechanics, wound care, tissue viability, charcot foot. Lead clinician for the multidisciplinary footwear clinic for Dales locality. I was a member of the Trent Podiatric Diabetes Network, ensuring standardisation of podiatry care for patients with diabetes across the trent region, including the development of care pathways. I undertook clinical audit in areas such as reviewing diabetes risk assessments and subsequent care. Review of patient satisfaction with footwear.Mentorship of peers and therapy assistants undertaking Podiatry assistant qualificationTheoretical and practical teaching and assessment of practice nurses and therapy assistants undertaking low risk diabetes foot assessmentsParticipation within patient education programmes. I was also the Allied Health Professional representative on Professional Executive Committee for the Trust.
