Personal profile


My current roles are as Head of Maternal Health and Department Lead for Teaching and Learning, and School Lead for Fitness to Practise. Previously I was Head of Maternal and Child Health (2014-2018) and prior to that worked as the Head of Postgraduate Provision (2010-2014). I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery from 1996-2010. I qualified as a midwife in 1984 and have also gained the BSc (Hons) Nursing with Education in 1994 (University of Huddersfield) and MA Health Care Ethics in 1998 (Leeds University). I have also undertaken the Examination of the Newborn Course (ENB N96) in 2000 (Sheffield University). Prior to working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield in 1996, I worked as a midwifery Lecturer at Bradford University (1989-1996). I am currently undertaking my PhD at Leeds University.
