Rabake Nana is a Lecturer in the Department of Management at Huddersfield Business School, where she has been teaching since January 2021. Prior to that, she was an Associate Lecturer from 2017 to 2020. She has extensive experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivering modules in sustainability, entrepreneurship, international business and research methods. Her adaptive and inclusive teaching approach reflects a deep commitment to student success, shaped by a diverse teaching portfolio across different year groups, delivery modes, and academic levels. Rabake holds an MSc and a PhD in International Business Management. Her doctoral research focused on corporate community involvement practices of multinational corporations operating in least developed countries (LDCs), examining the limitations of conventional development interventions and highlighting the need for more innovative and sustainable solutions.
Her current research interests lie at the intersection of social entrepreneurship, sustainability strategies, community development, and innovation in developing countries and/or institutionally fragile environments. She is particularly interested in how businesses and social enterprises operate in challenging institutional contexts, and the role of non-market strategies, investor engagement, and policy frameworks in shaping socio-economic outcomes. She also plays a leadership role within the Management department as the Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) Coordinator, where she supports academic advising practices and fosters a culture of care and consistency in student engagement.
