Biography

Reza Montasari is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security in the School of Computing and Engineering at the University of Huddersfield. He received a BSc. (Hons) in Multimedia Computing (with a 2:1) and an MSc. in Computer Forensics (with distinction) both from the University of South Wales. Following this, he gained his PhD, entitled The Comprehensive Digital Forensic Investigation Process Model (the CDFIPM) for Digital Forensic Practice, from the University of Derby.

Research Expertise and Interests

Reza’s primary research interest relates to conducting digital forensic investigations within complex computing environments such as the Internet of Things and cloud computing. He is particularly interested in the application of signature detection schemes to these environments to assist with the identification and acquisition of digital evidence. Reza’s research interests are also focused on the security challenges around emerging technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), blockchain and cryptocurrency.
