Biography

I have worked in the higher education sector since 1994, and joined the School of Human and Health Sciences at the University of Huddersfield in 2001. I have been a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Behavioural and Social Sciences since 2008.

Prior to this I have worked in a variety of capacities including e-learning development and IT skills teaching. More recently I have been involved in teaching a range of subject areas such as core skills, learning process and professional development, equality and diversity, and practice-based learning on courses that have previously included social work, applied criminology and police studies.

My current teaching focus is on the development of academic study skills in the broad area of the social sciences, which involves work with students studying criminology, politics and sociology.
