Biography

Ruth returned to the University of Huddersfield in January 2019 as a Senior Lecturer.  Ruth has many years of experience working as a social worker in voluntary and independent childcare organisations. Her teaching and research interests reflect a strong commitment to involving People With Lived Experience in all aspects of social work education and training. 

Ruth has led responses to major reviews of social work education.  Ruth's passion for social work, social justice and creative approaches to teaching and learning have led to her being the recipient of a number of University awards for outstanding teaching and assessment.
