Biography
Dr Saad Khan is a Senior Lecturer at Cyber Security in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield. He completed his PhD in late 2019. He has previously worked in both industry and academia as a security researcher. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has taught on several under- and post-graduate modules at the University of Huddersfield. He is currently the main supervisor for 2 PhD students.
Dr Khan's research interest is in developing intelligent systems for cyber security and digital forensics. This involves various research areas such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), access control and authentication, vulnerability assessment, anomaly detection, and image forensics. His research is determined to address the shortage of security expertise and knowledge by developing automated software tools that are capable of keeping the digital infrastructure secure against modern malicious attacks.
