Biography
Dr Sam Hazra joined the University of Huddersfield as a Lecturer in the Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality and Analytics under the umbrella of the Huddersfield Business School in 2022. Previously he held academic positions in the University of Surrey and Bournemouth University. Dr Hazra has a BA in Hospitality Management from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management in Nicosia, Cyprus. He has completed MSc in Tourism Management and Marketing at Bournemouth University, UK. His masters degree dissertaion was on 'communicating Tourism Strategies to the Host Community in a Traditional Seaside Resort'. After successful completion of the master's degree, he was encouraged by his supervisor to pursue a Doctorate degree. His PhD from Bournemouth University was focusing on stakeholder management in the tourism industry networks of Agra in India. Currently his research interests include tourism ethics, moral behaviour of tourists, stakeholder management and tourism employbility.
