I joined the University of Huddersfield as a Lecturer in Sport, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences in September 2018. My teaching and research activities are predominantly in the area of biomechanics. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the International Society of Biomechanics.

I completed a PhD at Leeds Trinity University in October 2020. My PhD research was on the biomechanics and energetics of human locomotion with load carriage. My current research interests include load carriage, the walking gait, and sports biomechanics.

I am accepting Masters (MRes) and PhD students. If you wish to discuss postgraduate research opportunities in the areas of sports biomechanics, injury and rehabilitation, occupational biomechanics or gait analysis, please email S.Hudson@hud.ac.uk.
