Biography

Sean is a Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics and his research interests span the biomechanics of human movement. Sean's research has primarily focused on human interaction with equipment, such as load-carrying devices and personal protective equipment. He is also interested in clinical movement analysis and has recently started projects in the areas of obesity and fall risk.

Sean joined the University of Huddersfield in 2018. Pior to this, he worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Leeds Trinity University. Sean was awarded a PhD from the University of Leeds in 2020. His PhD research was on the biomechanics and energetics of human locomotion with load carriage. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the International Society of Biomechanics.

Sean is accepting Masters (MRes) and PhD students. If you wish to discuss postgraduate research opportunities in the area of human biomechanics then please feel free to contact him (email: [email protected]).
