Biography

Vanessa Taylor joined the University of Huddersfield in 2018 as a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing.

Alongside her clinical experience with cancer, palliative and end-of-life care, Vanessa has extensive academic experience in curriculum design and the strategic development of undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses for the health and social care professions.

Research Expertise and Interests

Knowledge integration and knowledge transfer provide an overarching theme to Vanessa's research, with an interest particularly in developing research which informs curricula, teaching, learning and assessment opportunities for students. 

Discovering her interests through her roles, both clinical and educational, in cancer and palliative care, Vanessa undertook her PhD in 2004 focusing upon the 'Evalutaion of University Accredited Undergraduate Multi-Professional Palliative Care Education'.
