Biography
Vicky is an experienced Social Worker and Team Manager who has practised in statutory and voluntary sectors for the past 17 years. Vicky has experience in many aspects of safeguarding and child protection. This includes the area of sexual abuse, including harmful sexual behaviour and online abuse. Vicky has also worked with disabled children, parents with learning difficulties, foster carers and parents with mental health difficulties.
Vicky joined the University of Huddersfield in 2021 as a Lecturer in Social Work, and is the Module Leader for the modules Think Family and Strength Based Approaches, Law and Social Policy, and Statutory Social Work Methods and Approaches.
Vicky is currently completing a PhD exploring the statutory social work responses to online child sexual abuse.
