Biography
Dr Wencheng Pan is working as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Precision Technologies (CPT) and Engineering Control and Machine Performance (ECMPG) at the University of Huddersfield. He joined the CPT in June of 2015 and is currently focusing on the research of machining optimization through system stability analysis and machining mechanism study.
Dr Wencheng Pan has a BEng degree in Vehicle Application Engineering (Transportation) awarded in July of 2007.
He started working as an engineering in LiuZhou YUXIN FANGSHENG Automotive TRIM WORKS CO. LTD who charged the logistics management and technical coordinating from July of 2007 to August of 2008. And then, he joined to the GUANGXI JINGYAXUAN CO. LTD as device manager from 2008 September to 2009 October.
He completed his PhD study in the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University and awarded his PhD degree on Advanced Manufacturing Technology in December of 2014. During his PhD, he was involved in two research projects, the electric discharge machining application in polishing polycrystalline diamond material (PCD) and the machining of Ti-6Al-4V with PCD cutters. This research experience has made him a mature reseach scholar in CNC system stability, Identification and online surface monitoring research.
