Biography

Yilmaz is a senior lecturer at Accounting, Finance, and Economics in Huddersfield Business School. He joined the University of Huddersfield in August 2019.  Prior to joining University of Huddersfield, he was a research assistant and lecturer in Hacettepe University. He gained his PhD in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Hacettepe University in 2016. Yilmaz obtained MBA degree from Middle East Technical University and BSc in Business Information Management from Bilkent University.

Research Expertise and Interests

Yilmaz has a continuing research interests on empirical corporate finance, including topics such as ownership structure, accounting conservatism, brand equity, and most recently in environmental economics. He has papers published in several journals such as The European Journal of Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Applied Economics, and Emerging Markets Finance and Trade.
