Biography

Yuchu Qin received a doctor's degree in measurement technology and instrument with a thesis entitled “Towards Intelligent Design of Tolerance Specifications: An Ontology-Based Methodology” under the supervision of Prof. Xiangqian Jiang DBE, DSc, FREng from School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China (Top ten in overall and the best in mechanical engineering in China) in 2017. He has a master's degree in computer application technology and a bachelor's degree in computer science and technology. His research interests include intelligent manufacturing, computer-aided tolerance design, fuzzy aggregation operators, multi-criteria decision making, and ontology-based knowledge representation and reasoning. He has published over twenty academic papers in international journals such as Virtual and Physical Prototyping, Knowledge-Based Systems, Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Computer-Aided Design, Advanced Engineering Informatics, and Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering. He has also co-authored and published two academic monographs about knowledge representation and knowledge base system.
