Biography

Zi Young Kang is a fashion designer and a CAD specialist teaching on both BA/BSc (Hons) Textile Practice and BA (Hons) Costume with Textiles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Clothing, a master’s degree in Clothing and Textile, a master’s degree in Fashion Design and a PhD degree in Design. Her research interests include surface and garment design, digital design and simulation and fashion and costume history. She is currently involved in a historic costume simulation project, in collaboration with the Museum of London, which explores traditional and digital methods for reproduction of endangered garment relics.
