Description
This project offers workforce development to both care home staff and creative artist-practitioners, through enabling them to make creative activities part of everyday life for care home residents.
Working collaboratively with artist-practitioners and care home staff in three Kirklees care homes, we will explore staff awareness of creative activities to improve resident wellbeing (‘creative health’); how creative health can be sustainably embedded in residential care practice; and the training and support artist-practitioners require to work effectively in care settings.
We will co-develop information resources, skills-building workshops, and a shareable creative health toolkit for use beyond the pilot sites.
