Project Details
Description
Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) discrepancies, arising from inaccuracies in building assessments, significantly impact energy efficiency and carbon emission. These discrepancies lead to misrepresentation of a building's energy performance and its impact on environmental sustainability. Presently, EPC ratings lack detailed insights into the building's performance at a granular level. This entails grasping how building characteristics, the efficiency of appliances, and occupants' behaviour combine to influence the overall EPC ratings. This is only achievable through developing comprehensive visual data exploration across domains, involving relevant stakeholders for meaningful insights. The envisioned project aims to co-create a visual analytical platform with multi-agency stakeholders to identify system insufficiencies and propose interventions.
