Description
This series of co-created research projects unites walking, drawing and performance methodology through a carefully curated and deep engagement with the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and other parts of the canal system and its communities. The projects unite the relationship and goals between an artist (Simon Woolham) a curator (Mark Devereux) and developing a working partnership with the Canal & River Trust (Sharron Bright, Community Roots Engagement Coordinator for Yorkshire & the Northeast). The purpose of the research project is to engage with hard-to-reach communities with arts practice with the Canal & River Trusts as a site of ecological and historical importance and sites of creative health. The projects aim is to raise awareness of ecological emergencies and wellbeing futures.
