Project Details

Description

This project will create a suite of four research-led educational workshops, based on four cross-disciplinary research areas, all linking back to the common theme of place-based heritage. Each strand will serve a different age group, ranging from primary school children to adult learners. A Research Assistant will aide our four academic contributors in conducting the research that will underpin the project. A Research Fellow who specialises in education will then develop this research into cross-disciplinary educational workshops. The workshops will be piloted and evaluated, ensuring they meet the needs of the Partner Organisation’s stakeholders. This will become a sustainable suite of workshops to be marketed by the Partner Organisation and used after the funding period has ended. The innovative process used to create the workshops will then serve as a model for developing further research-led workshops. This proof of concept will allow other heritage sector institutions to take advantage of this innovation, while providing an additional income stream for the Partner Organisation.
