Creative education on the High Street: codeveloping a lifelong learning offer through creative skills development, creative health and inclusivity on the high street’ (Phase 1)

This project is Phase 1 of a broader initiative contributing to a co-designed cultural strategy for Kirklees. Building on the Cultures Of programme and Kirklees Cultural Strategy, it works with key stakeholders to ideate how community assets can be mobilised to support lifelong learning, creative health, and heritage programmes on the high street, particularly relevant to meanwhile spaces within Huddersfield’s Cultural Heart. Co-designed with stakeholders, it will generate insights and recommendations for future collaboration. This phase lays the groundwork for long-term strategies and links to an ESRC application for Phase 2, supporting place-based cultural development through co-production and community mobilisation.
