Project Details
Description
This project will develop antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) education for staff in secondary care to improve AMS knowledge. An online survey and qualitative interviews with staff will explore current knowledge, prescribing practices and barriers to AMS. This information will be used to develop an educational programme, delivered online, through pre-recorded presentations, expert talks, self-assessment and reflective exercises. The education will be evaluated using survey methods and qualitative interviews. Data on antibiotic prescribing pre-post education will be collected to explore any changes in practice. The project will be publicised through the Trust and Universities’ communication media channels and social media.
