Project Details
Description
In collaboration with Overgate Hospice, a specialist palliative care provider in Calderdale, this project will investigate the under-representation of the South Asian community in accessing hospice services, as indicated when analysing data on the number of patients and carers accessing services, compared with local census figures.
Partnering with local religious and community leaders, as well as primary care services, the project seeks to identify barriers and community needs for culturally sensitive care. Insights and relationships established through this project will guide the design of a new Overgate Hospice facility and enhance service accessibility, aiming to reduce health inequalities
