ESRC COLIF with Kirklees Council - West Yorkshire Flood Innovation Programme

Kirklees Council is committed to improving community resilience, housing issues, and public health outcomes. The council is currently involved in various housing and wellbeing initiatives, with a current focus on climate resilience, disaster preparedness and the mental health impacts of disasters (such as flooding). The proposed project aligns with the COLIF themes of costs of living and social protection (specifically around housing issues and mental wellbeing and health in relation to the response to and risk of climate-related disasters, such as flooding and storms), and understanding and encouraging pro-social behaviours in communities (specifically around climate and environment responses, but also around behaviour change in relation to preparedness for risks).
