'Field Studies---Land, Body, Botany' - An art exhibition by Monty Adkins and Yan Wang Preston

‘Field Studies --- Land, Body, Botany’ is the first exhibition showing the complete two series of work ‘With Love. From an Invader.’ and ‘Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer’ by the composer Monty Adkins and visual artist Yan Wang Preston. Intrigued by the popular garden plant, the rhododendron’s reputation as ‘non-native invasive species’ as well as its transcontinental journey from Southern Europe, China and Eastern South Asia to Britain, the two artists invested two years studying a rhododendron landscape at Shedden Clough, Burnley, Lancashire.
