Oncology Neighbourhoods: Scoping Education and Training Needs Across Hospital, Community and Primary Care Teams Aligned to NHS England ACCEND Framework

Working with the Non-Surgical Oncology Partnership (Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust and Mid Yorks Teaching Trust), this project applies the Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND) Career pathway, core capabilities in practice and education framework and UKONS Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) competencies to:

Redesign non-surgical oncology pathways and confirm associated workforce knowledge and capabilities to deliver care to people affected by cancer in primary and community services

Establish the current knowledge and capabilities of primary and community workforce and scope the education and training opportunities

Define and pilot an Education and Training Framework for non-surgical oncology
