Project Details
Description
This project will study the market potential of a novel technique, the use of electron beams, for removing microplastics from one of their most important routes into the aquatic environment, the wastewater treatment system, in particular the disposal of sewage sludge. It will investigate how the technique can be employed at sludge treatment plants and include the other demonstrated advantages it brings to evaluate the economic and environmental benefits and to determine the marketability.
