Description

Increasing the awareness and relevance of some of the oldest crafts in English textile heritage and seeking new and innovative ways to open-up, communicate and disseminate this crafting skill and knowledge to diverse and inclusive audiences. This is likely to involve video and audio and archival development and promotion, to help reposition knit and crochet as both a luxury craft, artform and pastime. Crafting in general has seen rapid renaissance post -pandemic, but the traditional tangible and intangible making skills are vulnerable to depletion due to lack of expose to key crafting and making skills. Fortuitously we are located 12 minutes from the world’s largest knit and crochet collection where synergies need to be developed.
