Abstract

The 1960s and 1970s saw the development of an art of contemporaneity that interacted with the work of imagination and the intelligibility of society, often in collective and interdisciplinary actions. Thus the protest movements in favor of a new global and societal balance appear as the political counterpart of the explosion of categories and artistic practices, and vice versa. They inscribe the perception of those years as those of a common march of the artistic avant-garde and the political vanguard, that is to say new ways of intervening in the artistic field and those which, in the field of power, fall outside the paths of classical politics.
