This collective volume is a distillation of extensive research and writing activity. The twelve original texts that make it aspire to cover a major publishing gap, negotiating a broad theme ranging from the emergence of radio to the emerging prospects of modern technological innovations. The spectrum of problems includes old and new technologies, along with historical analyzes of the political and cultural role of various forms of radio. The organizational structures and orientations of the instrument, as well as the various changes in the institutional framework, are also being considered. This is done with substantive references to regulation and deregulation issues and a particular emphasis on Greek reality, as well as the combination of original empirical data and classical theoretical approaches. This book systematically incorporates the study of Greek radio reality in its European context.
