N2 - This report is based on input from all the partners of the REGARD project, supported under the EU’s Strategic Partnerships programme. REGARD aims to identify mechanisms to mainstream the role of built environment in the context of disaster induced and conflict induced displacement. The project investigates the need to integrate social cohesion into the process of displacement. In doing so, it is seeking to enhance the cohesion between the displaced community and host community. The project also investigates the need to enhance the competencies of built environment professionals to accommodate the needs of displaced people
