A good landlord scheme for Greater Manchester: What does the evidence say?

Abstract

This report was commissioned by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to explore the extant evidence that could inform and underpin the development of a ‘Good Landlord Scheme’ in Greater Manchester. There were a number of objectives for this work as follows:

1. To identify any good practice that exists in relation to schemes which are comparable to a Good Landlord Scheme and outline any lessons learned
2. To identify relative advantages and disadvantages from areas subject to devolution in terms of their regulation of the private rented sector.
