Abstract
A series of photographs taken in Dewsbury, located in Kirklees, which is currently an area of deprivation, and such conditions have proven to have detrimental effects on the health and wellbeing of the people that live there. It is clear however, from just a brief survey of the architecture and history of the towns, that this situation of decline has not always been the case. By exploring and sharing historical narratives, undertaking walks, creating photographs, and studying nature we may experience shifts in how we collectively perceive places and ourselves.
