Abstract

Hand-cut, powder-coated brass silhouettes, garden rail track, moving light source.

A series of wall mounted, hand-cut, powder-coated brass silhouettes, illuminated by a moving light source. Above, About, Below (2006) presents a shadow play of an impossible balancing act performed by the artists. They climb, jump, teeter and fall in a cycle of actions and triangular configurations. The figures are brought to life in sequence by a travelling light source, only to be rendered invisible again by its passing.
