Abstract
A methanolic extract of B. pinnatum leaves has been studied for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities in animal models. The extract produced a significant inhibition of carrageenan-induced paw oedema, a significant reduction in cotton pellet granuloma in rats, an inhibition of acetic acid - induced writhing in mice, and a significant dose-dependent reduction of yeast-induced pyrexia.
