Abstract
Under the ‘Building Future International Workforce’ (BFIW) programme, The Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), together with their technical partner, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) were tasked by the United Kingdom (UK) Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and World Health Organization (WHO) to work with Ghanaian health system stakeholders to support the establishment of a capacity development partnership between the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (N&MC) with UK peers. The programme is funded by the UK Department for Health and Social Care to support health workforce strengthening in three African countries: Ghana, Somaliland, and Uganda.
