Abstract
Recent decades have witnessed a growing interest in and articulation of children’s rights. The attention to children’s rights has stemmed, in part, from a growing concern with human rights generally, reflected for example in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and from consideration of the rights of oppressed social groups, for example in the civil rights and liberation movements.
