Abstract
This In Practice paper examines how Hub-and-Spoke consortium working is helping to better embed Creative Health across West Yorkshire. The West Yorkshire Creative Health System, funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA), provides strategic coordination, evaluation and workforce development through a regional Creative Health Hub and local “Spokes” (across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield). Drawing on action research and five district examples, we describe how this infrastructure has the capacity to strengthen prevention, social prescribing, health and wellbeing and health equity. Operational mechanisms, challenges and learning are discussed.
