Abstract
This document makes visible the results of an investigative exercise carried out by the Citizen Culture Laboratory team during 2016. In particular, during four months a research was carried out that aimed to map, characterize and analyze cases and good practices of citizen culture at an international, national, regional and local level with the aim of establishing a bank, and with the intention of providing clues to the Laboratory about possible projects and initiatives to be developed or implemented in the city. In the same way, this academic intervention sought to identify actors, institutions, and narratives that help guide positive civic culture practices for Medellín in the medium and long term. For this purpose, the research team designed a mixed dialectical methodological strategy (inductive – deductive) that allowed creating categories of quantitative analysis for this object of study (construction of databases with analytical descriptive variables) and, in the same way, build qualitative analytical categories that made possible the construction of random sample documentary bases of moderate temporal range, the realization of case studies, the writing of analysis logs, as well as maintaining communications and interviews with experts throughout the time that this investigation lasted.
