Abstract

This work details the design of a Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) tailored for the Sub-6 GHz Frequency Range 1 (FR1). The proposed architecture splits the incident wavefront and utilizes a dynamic spatial periodicity of the surface to adjust the anomalous reflected angle. It also provides orthogonal cross-polarization conversion between Transverse Electric (TE) and Transverse Magnetic (TM) modes, enabling advanced functionalities such as polarization-diverse multicasting, or radar cross-section (RCS) reduction.
