Abstract

The research revealed that the singular value of the signal is a sensitive criterion for detecting the singularity occurring in amplitude, and the construction entropy proposed in the paper is a satisfactory criterion for detecting the singularity occurring in signal construction. Based on the idea of information fusion, a composite singularity detection criterion has been designed. Experiments proved that the composite criterion can successfully identify the singularities from signals, whatever they are characterized by the sudden changes in amplitude, construction or frequency.
